Your Second Visit to Our Roanoke Practice

Dr. Parker Adams, Roanoke Chiropractor

Your second visit will likely last less than half the time of the first one–probably less than half an hour. We’ll have a short audio tape or video for you to watch before you see the doctor. After that, you’ll get to visit the changing area again and then meet with Dr. Adams to go over your plan for care. He’ll discuss with you the underlying causes of your health condition and what it will likely take to fix the problem. You’ll have the choice to “patch” or “fix” the problem.

Whether your goals are to only obtain relief or engage in wellness care after you’ve gotten relief, you are the boss and we are simply your servants. You’ll also receive your first treatment, which will likely be a spinal adjustment. Considering that chiropractic may be a brand new experience for you, Dr. Adams will explain every step so you can be as comfortable as possible. He’ll give you some parting instructions and a care plan forecast for the next few days and you’ll be on your way to getting your things together and checking out with the front desk staff.

Dr. Parker Adams Asks some important questions of interest to Roanoke residents - Chiropractor Roanoke Dr. Parker Adams Asks...

How do you know when you're healthy?
Ask most Roanoke residents this simple question and you're likely to hear, "When you feel good" or "When you're at your proper weight for your height" or "When you have lots of energy and vitality." Great answers. But our chiropractic patients know that true health is when your body is working as it was designed. True health is how you function, not how you feel.
What's a side effect?
It may sound like a bonus; something extra, but chiropractors know it should more accurately called an "unintended effect," and "unwanted effect" or in some cases an "adverse effect." A pill can't come close to matching your body's ability to create and deliver the essential compounds it needs. That's when it's important to make sure your nervous system is working correctly—the purpose of chiropractic care!
